Marie Carlson

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate

Supervised by Kathleen Howell

I’m passionate about supporting children (8+), teens, adults, couples, and families. I believe healing happens in safe, supportive relationships where people feel truly understood and valued. Whether you’re facing depression, trauma, grief, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, or challenges within your family or relationships, you don’t have to face it alone.
I create a welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself from the very first session. My trauma-informed and systemic approach looks at the whole picture, your experiences, relationships, and environment, to better understand your story and help shift patterns that no longer serve you.
I practice with cultural humility and remain committed to providing inclusive, thoughtful care that honors your unique identity and background.

A Little About Me

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my mini Bernedoodle, Rita. I value creative and self-care activities that help me slow down and recharge. I love doodling, painting, and working on crafts, which allow me to express creativity in a different way.
I also enjoy kayaking, hiking, road trips, and traveling especially exploring new places and gaining new perspectives. Reading and lifelong learning are important parts of my life, both personally and professionally. I value curiosity, growth, and opportunities to deepen my understanding of the world around me.
