Pre-Licensed Counselor

Supervised by Sanaz Amini

My journey into the counseling profession began with over a decade of witnessing the profound connection between the body and mind as a yoga teacher. During that time, I became deeply aware of how stress and trauma are held in the body, often showing up as a sense of “stuckness” that words alone cannot fully reach.

I am passionate about supporting teens, young adults, and women as they navigate life’s complexities. My work bridges clinical psychological approaches with somatic awareness, helping clients reconnect with their bodies while developing insight, regulation, and lasting change. I take a collaborative, non-pathologizing approach to therapy, honoring each person’s resilience and innate capacity for growth.

My experience in crisis work deepened my respect for the “messiness” of the human experience and reinforced my belief that what we often view as stuckness is often a protective response to trauma. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and safe enough to gently untangle long-standing patterns at their own pace.

I am a pre-licensed counselor completing a Master's Level internship

Therapeutic Approach

I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am particularly drawn to modalities that offer clients tangible coping skills while also honoring the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process and strive to adapt these approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual.

My clinical perspective is informed by both “top-down” and “bottom-up” approaches to healing. While cognitive frameworks support insight and behavioral change, my background as a yoga teacher has shaped a strong foundation in somatic awareness. I view the body as a key entry point into the nervous system and support clients in identifying and regulating the physiological patterns associated with stress, trauma, and anxiety.

My experience in high-acuity crisis settings has also shaped my approach. I am comfortable holding space for the complexity of the human experience and aim to provide a steady, grounding presence during moments of vulnerability.

I value a collaborative, compassionate, and person-centered approach that integrates evidence-based practices with somatic grounding. My goal is to support clients in building practical skills, deepening self-awareness, and moving toward greater resilience and alignment with their values

What Clients Can Expect

Clients can expect a therapeutic space grounded in warmth, non-judgmental curiosity, and a steady, calming presence. I believe healing begins with a safe, authentic relationship, and I prioritize building trust through genuine connection and mutual respect.

With a background in crisis stabilization, I am comfortable supporting clients through intense or “messy” emotions, helping them feel seen, supported, and more regulated from the start. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, where success is not just symptom relief, but an increased sense of self-awareness, regulation, and personal agency.

I also support clients in building practical tools they can use outside of sessions. I often draw from mindfulness practices, somatic techniques, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients better understand their inner experiences and develop resilience in daily life.

A Little About Me

Outside of my clinical work, I value practicing the same presence and regulation I support in my clients. I’m an avid hiker and find that spending time in nature throughout the week helps me stay grounded.
I also have a deep love for travel, especially when it includes yoga retreats, and I’m currently looking forward to an upcoming trip to Budapest. I enjoy visiting family in Southern California, and in quieter moments, you’ll often find me experimenting with new recipes or swimming outdoors when the Seattle weather allows.
Motivational QuoteA quote that deeply informs both my clinical work and personal philosophy comes from Viktor Frankl:

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
