Injured Worker Counselor (Hybrid)

We are seeking a licensed mental health counselor to join our team, providing therapeutic services to clients referred through Washington’s Worker’s Compensation program. In this role, you will assess, treat, and support individuals dealing with work-related injuries, stress, and trauma. You will play an integral role in helping clients navigate their mental health recovery and return to work.

Key Responsibilities

● Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for worker’s compensation clients.● Provide therapeutic counseling services focused on mental health issues related to work injuries, trauma, and occupational stress.● Document client progress in accordance with clinic standards and worker’s compensation guidelines.● Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including case managers, to ensure holistic care for clients.● Stay informed about Washington’s Worker’s Compensation regulations and integrate this knowledge into client care.● Maintain a caseload of worker’s compensation clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client outcomes.

Qualifications

● Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.● Active full licensure as a mental health provider in Washington State (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or equivalent). Unfortunately, workers comp does not allow associate level providers to treat their clients. ● Experience working with worker’s compensation clients or individuals dealing with work-related injuries or stress related to physical pain/injury is a plus. ● Knowledge of Washington’s Worker’s Compensation system and regulations is a plus.● Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.● Experience with government-funded programs (e.g., DSHS, LNI) is a plus.
