Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

Supervised by Carmen Benway

Growing up isn’t easy, and as a parent, it’s hard to see your child struggle. Whether it’s anxiety, ADHD, navigating life on the autism spectrum, or challenges at school or with friends, I’m here to help. My goal is to provide children, teens, and their families with a safe and supportive space to work through tough emotions, build confidence, and develop skills for a brighter future.

Clinical Focus and Specialties

Lisa works with clients facing a range of mental health concerns, including:

    Family and School Related Concerns
    ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders
    Social Skills and Peer Relationships
    Emotional Regulation
    Self-esteem and identity challenges

Therapeutic Approach

Every child and teen is unique, and I take the time to understand their world, interests, and strengths. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with mindfulness and creative techniques to make therapy engaging and meaningful. For younger kids, I incorporate play and storytelling to help them express their emotions in a way that feels natural and fun. For teens, I focus on building trust and exploring tools that empower them to handle stress, improve relationships, and feel good about themselves.

What You Can Expect

Therapy with me is a partnership—I work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure that your child feels supported at home and school. In sessions, your child or teen will feel seen, heard, and encouraged to explore their emotions and build skills in a judgment-free environment. Together, we’ll set realistic goals, celebrate progress, and equip your family with tools for lasting success.

A Little About Me

I’ve always been passionate about working with children and teens because I believe they hold incredible potential for growth and resilience. Outside of therapy, I love hiking, kayaking, reading, and getting creative with arts and crafts—all things I love incorporating into my work with younger clients. I also enjoy musicals, which inspire me to connect with kids and teens in imaginative and playful ways. If your child or teen is struggling, I’d love to help. Together, we can navigate the challenges they’re facing and uncover their strengths. Reach out today to learn more or schedule a session—I look forward to connecting with you and your family.
